WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM MY FIRST TREATMENT?


  You will need to answer some questions about your health history and what areas of your body might benefit from massage. Your massage therapist will then do an assessment to determine which type of massage would be best for you. Make sure that you mention all of your health concerns, the medications you’re taking and the procedures you’ve had so you get the most out of your session.

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE BENEFITS OF MASSAGE THERAPY?

 WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE AND SPA MASSAGE? 

 A  therapeutic massage usually has a defined purpose in mind: to relieve pain or tension on a specific part of the body.  Therapeutic massage is planned out with a specific goal in mind, and your massage therapist will factor into a larger treatment plan that is based on your health needs and goals.

A spa massage will successfully relax you and temporarily relieve some stress. Spa massage is a straightforward session using classic Swedish techniques.  Your therapist will usually use light to medium pressure, at your preference, and the goal of the session is to help you relax.
